Federal, State, tribal, and local governments that become aware of a radiological incident should notify the coordinating agency and the DHS National Operations Center (NOC) at 202-282-8101 and comply with other appropriate statutory requirements for notification. For example, releases of reportable quantities of any listed hazardous materials as described within 40 CFR Part 302 must be reported to the National Response Center at 1-800-424-8802. Further, State, tribal, and local law enforcement agencies should continue to contact the local FBI/Joint Terrorism Task Force regarding ongoing terrorist activities, events, instances, or investigations.
